You can hit what you can’t see. These Streamlight light and laser combos are phenomenal increments to any gun with a rail. I suggest green lasers over red lasers. As per the NRA, green lasers are more noticeable in splendid sunlight(source). A few people could do without running lights on the grounds that the light is an objective. The TP9 Elite SC was created to be the main undercut version of the TP series of pistols with its 3.60 inch barrel. The Elite SC offers similar elements to the standard TP9 models, although it is designed to be snag-free for better coverage and faster extraction.

From what I’ve seen read about Caniks they MAY have issues early on due to:
- Recoil spring being too stiff. Run heavier ammo through it for a while, or contact Canik for a lighter one.
- Not cleaning it before shooting it. I had this issue, took it straight to the range, it FTE a lot. Took it home cleaned it and now I can’t get the gun to jam.
- These are probably the most common gripes I’ve seen, but other than that they have a good track record for being as economically priced as they are.
- failure to feeds and failure to fire. I’ve seen a number of users report issues with bullets not properly feeding.
- lack of positive magazine ejection. I’ve seen a number of users have to pull the magazine out before reloading because it just sits there.

Took it out to the range for the first time today. I love shooting this gun! With 125 grain
The 686 (6 shot) was my first duty firearm in the late 1980s. Still solidly built today and still works without issue. Some of the fit and finish is a bit more rough than I remember, but that may also be the fuzzy selective memory of times past. This old revolver guy took a little bit of time getting used to the newer 7 shot cylinder, but it’s kinda like riding a bike.

The 4.1 inch barreled 686 Plus was my introduction to the model. I had not shot a lot of .357 or even .38 Special and I wanted a revolver that would be a nice woods gun (as a naturalist I hike a lot) and also function as a nice home defense gun. And, I wanted something that would be easier to shoot and learn .367 on than a smaller K or J framed offering in that caliber. The verdict? The Smith and Wesson Model 686 Plus 4.1 inch barrel is one of those purchases that I am completely happy about. It was a splendid introduction to .357. The mass of the L-frame, and its rubber grips (with full back strap coverage) soak up a lot of the recoil. Muzzle rise is easy to control in rapid fire thanks to that mass. It is quite accurate even with just the plain old factory sights. It’s also nice that I can take out and work technique with the cheaper .38 Special rounds with my wife or daughter. This revolver met all my expectations. This is both a good thing and a bad one. I now want to own just about every variant of the model 686 Plus.

I took a coastal blacktail with this slug. Shot was in the rib cage at about 25 yards. This was overkill for my situation but this slug appears to be VERY effective.
Gives very consistent groups of 2 inches at 50 yards out of my 14″ and 18″ mossberg 590s. Starts to open up at 100 yds but the tightest grouping slugs at 100 yards I have found so far.
Used it at the range and I will use it for home defense
I took it out to shoot today and had a lot of issues with it not feeding the shells correctly. I don’t know if it is because it is straight out of the box or just needs a little break in period.

Purchased this gun to keep in the closest with the hopes it never has to see the light of day. It may come to the range more than expected. Price and quality are outstanding for its intended use.
This is the only pump action shotgun I would buy. I purchased the standard 4 round version so I could put a trap barrel on the gun. Remington is the best!

I purchased this weapon for home defense. The length and action is perfect. It holds 2.75 or 3 inch shells. I really like the composit stock and brushed finish.
Excellent piece of hardware – seems RemArms is finally dialing it in. Had no issues with Rio, Federal, Fiocci, Winchester and Kent shells – not one hang. If only the magtube ended at forearm and the barrel didn’t have a ring so I can have a better play with different mag extensions.. (like the hardwood model). But overall, A+!
out of the box the tp9sfx had trigger issues. the backside of the trigger safety was too large and was touching the pistol frame so it would not fire w/o considerable force. had to sand the trigger safety in order for it to clear the frame. I own a lot of pistols and this was a first. it was an easy fix but should not have been necessary. The pistol has a long slide which is great for sight radius but requires a stout load in order to function well. light loads caused failure to eject and failure to feed issues. Factory WWB ran ok but did have 2 fail to eject/fail to feed issues out of 20 rounds. Different recoil springs will be needed if you are a handloader. have not searched for springs yet as this was my first chance to fire the canik. It’s a beautiful piece, comfortable in the hand and easy on the eyes. It was somewhat dirty out of the “box”, looked to have been fired quite a bit and not cleaned. Having said all of that, it did shoot excellent off the rest at 35 feet. 3 bulls touching one another. when i develop a load that will work well, this will be a great backup to my SA XDm 5.25. Great price for a decent “competition ready” pistol. Hoping it runs better after a few hundred rounds. I ain’t no bullschitter, the above review is accurate to my experience today 6/2/18. Century arms is sending me a lighter recoil spring. Took less than 1 day for them to respond and at their expense, send me a lighter spring.
Very solid performance. Fit and Finish 8/10. A little out of balance but easily remedied with a heavy back strap and mag extensions (I went with Taylor Freelance). Very capable pistol. I have ran just over 500 rounds through it. Speer gold dot, blazer brass, cheap reloads, solid hand loads and hornady customs. Went through everything with no issues. FTF twice with gold dots +p but that happened after mag extensions were installed and never happened after those two. I am a above average shot. Able to get a 1.5″ group at 15 yards and 2.25″ at 25. Sights are pretty good but feel more like a field/combat sight. Tighter sights could bring this thing in very tight.
Wanted a long barrel (5″+) and narrowed choices to Glock 34 MOS, Walther PPQ Q5, and the Canik PF9 SFx. In the end, just couldn’t bring myself to pay an extra $300+ for the Walther so I went with the Canik. I have put 375 rounds through it thus far and the only issue I’ve had was a single failure of the slide to lock open after the last round on one occasion. I’ve used a mix of 115 & 124 gr ammunition from Remington, S&B, CCI Blazer, and Herters with no problems other that the failure to lock open. Mounted a Vortex Venom red dot and am very pleased with it. Approximately 1.5″ groups at 15 yards and that’s great for my tired old eyeballs. Trigger is very much like my Walther PPQ 45 and is probably largely responsible for the accuracy. Of course, the red dot doesn’t hurt. Looking forward to putting many more shots on target with this weapon in the future.
If you haven’t considered the TP9 SFx, you should. I studied it really closely at the NRA show in Dallas, and the next day I bought one. Great decision on my part. I wouldn’t have thought you could get this much gun for this price, but you can. While it’s not quite what you would experience in a $2000-plus pistol, it compares extremely well with anything under $1000. I have several match-grade handguns, and none have better triggers than this one. It’s phenomenal. And the goodies that come in the case make this an even better buy. I plan to add a Vortex Viper red dot to it, because it comes with the plate that it requires — along with the plates for several other brands. This gun is truly an awesome value.

Purchased the TP9-SFX to eventually compete. As looking at other reviews I expected weak ejection problems. I contacted the distributor and was very pleased with the customer service. Told me a way to improve performance. It worked, but they sent me a stiffer spring and rod assembly anyway. Very happy with the service and the pistol. Very accurate and extremely adjustable…… Love this pistol! You can not go wrong.
Only shot a couple hundred rounds but it felt great. Was also very accurate with Monarch Steel case ammo. Had read and watched good things on this gun so I got it and I’m not disappointed. Midway had the beat price when I bought it at less than 500. Also shipped super fast think I got it in 6 days and that includes the weekend and the fact that my ffl does not open Monday, so had to wait til Tuesday.

This is the first handgun I have ever purchased and I absolutely love it. I’ve handled many firearms, but when finally deciding on purchasing my own handgun, I chose the Canik TP9 SFX. Normally, I’m more of a classic 1911 type, but given my wife’s inclination to settle on a 9mm as her first, and to reduce ammo expenses between the two of us, I went with the SFX striker fired pistol. It comes with two back straps two 20 round magazines, a holster, cleaning rod, brush, replacement fiber optic strands for the front sight, and mounting plates for a red dot. The trigger is phenomenal too! Nice, crisp, clean break — no squish. Like most Caniks, the recoil spring is a bit heavy for 115 grain out of the box; they’re built for 124 grain, but handle 155 grain without malfunction after 200 rounds as a rule of thumb. I got lucky with mine, however, as it sent 115 grain down range without issue first day at the range; I have yet to have an issue after one year of service with it. This gun is reliable, exceptionally accurate, and just a pleasure to shoot. I enjoyed it so much as a first time Canik owner that I bought the Canik SF Elite as a companion gun.

This is a great shooter! It is pretty close to glock 19 size. The trigger is fantastic and because of the weight very manageable recoil. The larger magazines from the tp9sf fit and function fine. That is one reason I like this brand so well. I have about 300 rounds fired mostly 115 grain ball ammo and have had several failures to go into battery. Hopefully this is just a break in issue.

I was very happy with this carcano rifle i got. The rifles are more rare than the carbines which i already had. Carcano rifles were quite used in their day so i expected it to be in rough shape but it was pretty good. I wanted an older one and i got an 1899 so that was cool. for being so old it was in really nice condition. Everything matches except the un numbered bolt! (it may be original im not sure) Action was smoother than my other one and unlike my other one the extractor that came with it worked. The blueing was really good. 95%+ Stock had no cracks or anything, No missing parts. couldnt be happier
